DESCRIPTION

The MINIDIST PLUS type R-TBP is specially designed to perform ASTM D2892 TBP and D5236 Potstill distillation on small sample charges, up to 8 large preparation fractions from LPG to 375 C AET in TBP mode and 6 fractions in Potstill mode. All within 8 to 10 hours.
Compatible for any kind of distillation: petroleum, petrochemical products, fractions such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, lubricant, crude residues, LVGO, HVGO, biofuels, bio-oils, etc.

Fully automatic distillation unit in accordance with ASTM 2892 and D5236 methods for distillation of crude oils, cuts or residues with automatic procedure from debutanization to reduced pressure without operator intervention from sample loading to collecting the final fractions.
Unit includes a D2892 column with wiremesh multiknit packing and a 2L glass boiling flask. Special column and flask sizes are available on request (500mL and 1000mL).
This unit facilitates all types of discontinuous distillation of chemical and organic components for boiling temperatures up to 200°C/392°F under atmospheric pressure, as well as vacuum down to 1 mmHg, which corresponds to an atmospheric equivalent temperature (AET) of 375-400°C/707-752°F.
The complete TBP D2892 distillation can be performed from debutanization stage to Final Boiling Point (FBP), within about 8 hours. All sequences are chained automatically. When the next step involves a pressure change, the sample charge flask is automatically cooled to a preset temperature and returned to atmospheric pressure. The vacuum then lowers to the next step toward FBP. The fractions can be prepared by temperature and/or % volume set points.
If the optional D5236 distillation kit is available, a distillation of the residue is generally run under reduced pressure 1 mmHg, or lower, to prepare fractions up to 600C AET in temperature or volume.
The MINIDIST PLUS R-TBP process cabinet is a closed cabinet with safety doors for easy access.
