DESCRIPTION

MINIDIST PLUS type MVD (Mass, Volume, Density) is the result of over 40 years of research & development with several major petroleum research centers. With mono or multi-process configurations, the innovative ASTM D2892 TBP distillation apparatus hails from our extensive crude oil evaluation distillation product line. 
The integration of a balance and volume follower system allows real-time weight and volume monitoring for each fraction. Density is calculated and reported, automatically, with +/- 0.001 accuracy. Density of each fraction may also be measured off line with higher accuracy, then input into the final report. 

Our fully automatic distillation unit, in accordance with ASTM 2892, distills crude oils  or cuts with automatic procedure from debutanisation to reduced pressure or distillation start to finish. This unit includes a D2892 column and stainless steel boiling flask with capacity 2 to 200 L capacity. Special column and flask sizes are available upon request.

This unit facilitates all types of discontinuous distillation of chemical and organic components for boiling temperatures up to 200°C/392°F under atmospheric pressure, as well as, vacuum down to 1 mmHg ( the atmospheric equivalent temperature, AET, of 400-452°C/752-845°F). The complete TBP D2892 distillation can be performed from debutanisation to Final Boiling Point (FBP)within 15 to 18 hours. All sequences are chained automatically. When the next step involves a pressure change, the sample charge flask is automatically cooled to a preset temperature and returned to atmospheric pressure. The operator may remove distillate receivers at any time, once FBP is reached under vacuum or during distillation. The fractions can be measured by temperature and/or % volume set points.
 
The MINIDIST PLUS type MVD process cabinet is a closed cabinet with safety doors for easy  access and maintenance. Version V7.0 includes includes a built-in Linux industrial controller with interface process boards, color LCD display, industrial alphanumeric keyboard, and mouse. There is no longer a need for an external Windows PC supervisor.
