DESCRIPTION

Our fully automatic distillation unit in accordance with ASTM 5236 method, distills crude residues or heavy cuts with automatic procedure from sample loading to reduced pressure, with operator intervention only to remove prepared fractions at the end of each 3-4 hour sequence (if more than 12 fractions need to be prepared). Unit includes a D5236 column and stainless steel boiling flask with 2 to 30L capacity. Special column and flask sizes are available on request.
This unit facilitates all types of discontinuous distillation of chemical and organic components for boiling temperatures up to 350°C/650°F under atmospheric pressure, as well as vacuum down to 0.1 mmHg (the atmospheric equivalent temperature, AET, of 600-650°C/1100-1200°F).

The complete POTSTILL D5236 distillation can be performed from sample loading to Final Boiling Point within about 3-4 hours. All sequences are chained automatically. When the next step involves a pressure change, the sample charge flask is automatically cooled to a preset temperature and returned to atmospheric pressure. Then the operator may remove full distillate receivers and replace them before approving the continuation of the next step toward FBP. The fractions can be measured by temperature and/or % volume set points. 

The MINIDIST PLUS type A process cabinet is a closed cabinet with safety doors for easy access and maintenance. Version V7.0 includes a built-in Linux industrial controller with interface process boards, color LCD display, industrial alphanumeric keyboard and mouse. There is no longer a need for an external Windows PC supervisor.
