The Vaporizer VA 2000 is used for moisture determination by the Coulometric Karl Fischer method of samples for which a direct moisture determination is not possible. Most solid samples fall in that category along with samples reacting with the KF reagent.

The model VA2000 Moisture Vaporizer is used together with the GRS2000 Coulometric Karl Fischer Titrator for water content determination of solid samples, powders, plastics, etc. It is also suitable for samples which cannot be analyzed directly in the Coulometric Reagent due to side reactions or interference problems. A glass boat containing the sample slides into a glass tube, where it is heated. Moisture is driven off during the process and is carried to the titration cell by an inert gas such as Nitrogen.

Gas flow control and drying system are built into the main body so that the complete unit can sit on top of the Titrator to minimizes bench space requirement. Each unit is supplied complete with all necessary connection tubing and sample boat.
