DATA PROCESSING AFTER IDENTIFICATION

Data processing can be carried out on all or a prescribed section of a chromatogram.

  • Sectioning of a chromatogram

    A chromatogram can be sectioned by the reference peaks to simulate a distillation. In this case an overlapping zone is assigned to the cuts, in order to simulate the true distillation

    CARBURANE carries out the following data processing on the total chromatogram or on each simulated cut: - with calibration, resolution of interferences, and physical property determination reported.

  • Calibration

    - response factors for each peak
    - calibration procedure with internal or external standard
    - results given as weight %, volume %, and molar %

  • Physical property determination

    CARBURANE can generate physical properties such as RON and MON, density, molecular weight, vapor pressure, gross heat value, and structural and elementary analysis.

    Research reports supporting RON/ MON values are available upon request.


  • Graphic validation
    - The name of the constituent for each peak, found by Carburane, can be displayed on the chromatogram and compared to a reference chromatogram.
Two types of reports are available:

- with 13 yield values: IBP (0.5)-5-10-20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-95-FBP (99.5). The yields may be expressed in weight %, mole %, and volume %.
  • Simulated distillation
    - with 101 yield values: IBP (0.5)-1-2-3-...98-99-FBP (99.5).
  • Simulated Gasoline Blending

    Blending of files and individual hydrocarbon components by weight %, volume %, or mole %. Carburane can simulate from a gasoline pool of gas
    and liquid effluents a motor gasoline, with physical properties, and RON and MON determination.
